Tonight, I’m packing for a long-anticipated trip to see friends in Nashville. And, in the Mocha Club spirit, I’m packing my yellow mug.
Although I don’t have yet have any plans set for chatting about The Ask Project over a mocha with Matt, something about bringing the mug feels right. The gesture breathes optimism, hope, and assurance. Because, spoiler alert, the success or failure of this project has little to do with actually having a mocha with Matt.
It’s for you. It’s for me. It’s for women thousands of miles away. It’s for communities I may never see.
The Ask Project is about walking forward with bold anticipation, even when expectations and reality clash. In Proverbs 31:25, the writer speaks of a woman who “is clothed with strength and dignity,” who “can laugh at the days to come.” From a place of deep security and rooted identity, all can sojourn forward with joy, laughter, and openness.
For two amazing women, freedom is now at hand. Thanks to your partnership, a covering of strength and dignity is theirs to receive. So, I will bring the mug. Because, whether or not we hit the $1200 mark, whether or not I get that mocha, freedom is here.
We’ve got 10 days and $368 to go. Let’s save one more. (Click to join)
